Cosmic Map

Status: stable

This effect now lives across the whole site.

Dark particles against light paper, gravitational attractors driving the field in cycles of 240–360 seconds, occasional supernovas blooming and disappearing. What began as an experiment here in Labbet is now the site’s permanent background.

Scroll down and stay a while. After a minute everything has moved, though you hardly notice it in real time.

Cosmic Map

An inverted map of space that lives across the site. Dark particles against a light background move through gravitational attractors. Individual particles bloom into supernovas and disappear. Graduated: the constellation idea now lives on as the site map in the homepage’s finale.
